Rock, River & Trail Outfitters owner Rick Henrich guides most of the trips offered through his business. Rick is certified in CPR and water rescue and has been taking groups into wild places safely for 6 years. Rick decided to follow his passion. Since opening his store in 2004, he has helped unlock the Pennsylvania Wilds region for hundreds of residents and visitors. He regularly partners with state park and forest managers to offer outdoor programming to the public and has earned a Tourism Award from the Clinton County Economic Partnership for his work promoting the area's natural assets. Rick encourages all of his customers to be good stewards of the natural areas they visit.

Rock, River & Trail Outfitters offers a variety of guided trips throughout the year, for many skill levels and abilities. We have regular guided trips in biking, hiking, kayaking and snowshoeing. Some of our adventures last a few hours, others are multiple-day treks into the wilderness that involve camping and catered meals. Some trips are geared toward special groups, women, men, families, while others are open to anyone. We try to have something for everyone.

- TUESDAY, September 7 and September 14 - You asked, so we're doin' it!
We're stretching out our summer fun and continuing our AFTER WORK PADDLES
for two more weeks! Join Rock River & Trail Outfitters for some fun on the
River! We're hosting an "AFTER WORK PADDLE" that about 100 people enjoyed
during the Tuesday's in August. Here's the plan: participants meet at the
Woodward Boat Launch at 5:15 p.m. (NOTE THE EARLIER DEPARTURE TIME due to
darkness setting in earlier). We'll load up everyone's boats and gear and
shuttle everyone up to the Black Bridge in Farrandsville for a four-mile
paddle back down to the boat launch. Only $5 per person, with kayak rentals
available for only $15. Join us for some exercise, for some after-work
relaxation...for some plain old fun on the water! Call 748-1818 in advance
if you need a kayak; otherwise, grab your boat and meet us at the boat
launch no later than 5:15 p.m. this coming Tuesday and next!
- Saturday, September 11 - KAYAKING TRIP open to all! We'll head to either
Pine Creek or Bald Eagle Creek...wherever there's water...for a fun day of
kayaking. Only $15 per person. Kayak rentals available at a reduced rate
of $20. Call 748-1818 for reservations and "get out there" with us!
- Sunday, September 12 - BIKE THE RAILS-TO-TRAILS bicycling trip! An
approximately 15-mile trek down the scenic Pine Creek Rails-to-Trails.
We'll do some exploring and some sightseeing, and end the trip with lunch at
the Hotel Manor (lunch is Dutch treat). Only $15 per person. Limited
bicycle rentals available at a reduced rate of $20. Reservations needed -
call 748-1818.
- Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19 - SUSQUEHANNA PADDLE - An
exciting adventure -- a two-day kayaking trip with a night of camping along
the West Branch Susquehanna River! Enjoy the wild beauty of the River
between Karthaus and Renovo. We'll be roughing it, carrying everything we
need for both days and the overnight. Only $55 per person, which includes a
shuttle of you and your gear, dinner Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday.
Participants will be responsible for their own lunches both days. Kayak
rentals are available at a reduced rate of $20. Make your reservations now

- Saturday, September 25 - WOW (WOMEN-ON-WHEELS), WOMEN-ONLY BICYCLE TRIP
down the Pine Creek Rails-to-Trails! We'll bike away the day with a few
necessary stops (for ice cream and lunch). It's a trip of about 15
miles...but we can go further if we want! A great way to get out and make
new friends. Only $15 per person. Limited bicycle rentals are available at
a reduced rate of $20. Call today for reservations -- 748-1818.
Sunday, September 26 - WOW (WOMEN-ON-THE-WATER) KAYAKING TRIP! For women
only -- join Julie for a fun time on the water. This will likely be our
last WOW outing of the season, so don't miss it! Only $15 per person.
Kayak rentals available at a reduced rate of $20. These trips fill up fast,
so make your reservation today by calling Rock River & Trail Outfitters at

Rock River & Trail Outfitters also offers SHUTTLES for kayakers, hikers and
bicyclists, so organize your own trip and let us do the driving. GUIDED
TRIPS are also available....give us a call and we'll help you plan your own
adventure and help you carry it out!!
Rock River & Trail Outfitters will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September
6th. Now through Saturday, we are renting boats for the weekend...so get

Rock River & Trail Outfitters reserves the right to cancel a trip for any violation to the PA. Fish and boat commission rules and regulations.
Alcohol will not be allowed on any trip guided by RR&TO. PFD's will be worn at all times during guided trips. A liability waiver will be signed before trips are started
